Directed by Gajendra Ahire, The Signature is a Hindi drama movie starring Anupam Kher in a lead role. It also stars Mahima Chaudhry, Ranvir Shorey, Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Neena Kulkarni in supporting roles. Produced by K. C. Bokadia and Anupam Kher Studio, the Signature movie is about an elderly man whose world turns upside down when his wife gets hospitalized due to her critical illness. However, her health condition gets worse and she faces numerous financial and emotional challenges in his effort to save her. He begins to feel hopeless and helpless and confides in his old college friend who helps him cope with these problems.

Anupam Kher made a statement regarding the movie and said, “I have portrayed a middle-class man in The Signature. Whether I’ve been in Salaakhen, Sansar, Khosla Ka Ghosla, or Saaransh, I’ve always added something new to each part. Additionally, my character in this movie is special because of his intense dedication to and affection for his wife. They have developed a friendship throughout the years, going beyond simply being partners. That’s what really makes this character unique. The veteran promised that, the movie will resonate with a wide range of viewers and that all of his next films will depict everyday people’s lives”.
The film is an adaptation of the National Award Winning 2013 Marathi Film ‘Anumati.’ The Signature movie had an early screening at the Namaste Vietnam Festival in 2023.
